Hello. My name is Alan Seymour, and live in Lancashire. Welcome to my natural history photographic site. I've been interested in natural history since a small boy, and owe this to my grand father who was very keen on fishing, wildlife and nature. We would fish and walk for miles spotting deer and foxes and birds in the woodlands in Surrey were I grew up. I've only been taking natural history photographs with any success for the last few years, due to time and equipment. About 12 years ago I completed the City Guilds Natural History photographic module and that started me off. On this site you will find photographs of Wild Birds, Mammals, Butterflies, Flowers, Landscaps, Sunsets and Rivers, and anything else I may find of interest related to natural history. While the rest of country was being hit with snow and ice here in the North West we had some lovely sunshine, I nipped down to Martin Mere to test a camera that had come back from repair.
